Seth Meyers on Wednesday joked about former president and GOP nominee Donald Trump doubtlessly turning into extra introspective because the 2024 election nears.
“I didn’t think it was possible but he seems to be engaging in some actual self-reflection,” stated the “Late Night” host.
Trump this week admitted — not for the primary time — that he has a “personality defect” about not liking individuals who don’t like him and that he will get together with “tough” individuals (just like the world’s authoritarian leaders) higher than “weak” ones.
“It’s weird to watch him come so close to a breakthrough and then bail,” stated Meyers.
The comic then mimicked Trump, “I always get along with the strong, the tough guys, maybe, maybe even a little too tough, maybe a little too strong, too mean, mean guys who are fathers, you could say. Fathers who are tough on their kids and make their kids sad.”
