EXCLUSIVE: Temple Hill Entertainment, the producers behind field workplace horror hits Smile and Smile 2, and UK gross sales outfit Protagonist Pictures, are teaming up on horror Monitor.
Written and directed by Ryan Polly and Matt Black (I Bet You’re Wondering How I Got Here) for his or her function debut, the movie is predicated on their in need of the identical identify.
Monitor is produced by Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey and John Fischer for Temple Hill (Smile, The Twilight Saga, The Maze Runner Trilogy), Nostromo Pictures (The Night Manager Season 2 ) is co-producing. Protagonist’s Dave Bishop and George Hamilton function government producers.
In Monitor, when a bunch of social media moderators refuse to publish a horrifying video, a demonic creature begins following them throughout each display screen of their lives. Feeding off worry, the creature hunts them down one after the other and assaults them till it will get what it desires… to be let loose past the display screen. Casting discussions are underway.
Protagonist Pictures is launching worldwide gross sales on the upcoming American Film Market, with manufacturing scheduled to start in spring 2025. This is the most recent collaboration between Protagonist and Temple Hill, which started with the slasher horror Clown In A Cornfield which bought out at AFM 2022.
