A Swedish minister’s phobia of bananas has led officers to insist rooms are freed from the fruit forward of any assembly or go to, in accordance to experiences.

The directions from Gender Equality Minister Paulina Brandberg’s staff have been seen in leaked emails revealed by Expressen.

The tabloid quoted one of many leaked messages – despatched to the Norwegian Judicial Agency forward of a VIP lunch – as saying that she “has a strong allergy to bananas, so it would be appreciated that there are no bananas in the areas where she will be staying”.

An analogous electronic mail, reportedly despatched to the County Administrative Board, stated: “No bananas are allowed on the premises either.”

Brandberg informed Expressen that it was a difficulty she was “getting professional help with”.

She is reported to have posted on X in 2020, saying she has the “world’s weirdest phobia of bananas”.

The publish has since been deleted.

Bananaphobia may cause critical signs like nervousness and nausea and may be triggered by seeing or smelling the fruit.
