The best film of the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival "Three Kilometers to the End of the World" by Emanuel Parvu

The film “Three Kilometers to the End of the World” by Emanuel Parvu from Romania obtained the “Heart of Sarajevo” award for the best characteristic film at the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF).

On the remaining night of the competition in the National Theater, the “Heart of Sarajevo” awards had been offered to the best administrators, actors and actresses, in addition to to the groups of feature-length, documentary, scholar and brief movies, the Fena company reported.

The following movies had been nominated in the best film class: “Among the Gods”, “Family Therapy”, “Arkadia”, “Editorial”, “Village next to Paradise”, “Holy Electricity”, “Great Week” and “Mother Mara”.

The jury that selected the best film included American screenwriter and director Paul Schroeder, Slovenian actor Sebastijan Kavaca, director and editor Una Gunjak, Finnish director Juho Kuosmanen and Swedish actress Nomi Rapas.

The “Heart of Sarajevo” award for the best director was received by the Greek director Jorgos Zois for the film “Arkadija”, whereas Dora Bem and Anab Ahmed Ibrahim had been declared the best actor and actress.

The Greek director Jorkoi Zois obtained the “Heart of Sarajevo” award for best director for the film “Arkadija”.

“Heart of Sarajevo” for the documentary film was awarded to the film “Picture to Remember” by Olga Černje, and the particular prize of the jury went to the film “What we demand from the statue is that it does not move” by Dafna Heretakis.

The best brief film is “Dustan” by Cem Demirer, and “Srce Sarajevo” received “The Smell of Fresh Paint” by creator Nađa Petrović for the best scholar film.

The award for human rights was awarded to the film “Your life without me” by Ana Rubi, whereas the Special award for selling gender equality went to Maja Doroteja Prelog for the film “Cent’anni”.

The award for environmental consciousness, funded by UNDP, went to the film “The Sky Above Zenica” directed by Zlatko Pranjić and Nana Frank Miller.

The 30th Sarajevo Film Festival ended with the awards ceremony, the place greater than 250 movies from round the world had been proven.
